Severn Valey Carpet and Flooring has been curating floors for British homes for forty-eight years — from a converted wool mill on the banks of the Severn. Family-run. Third generation. Nothing rushed.
We are an independent flooring retailer and fitting company. You buy the floor and the fitting from the same place, so there is nobody to pass the blame to if something is not right.
The showroom holds full rolls, sample books and large display boards for every category we sell, so you can see a floor at full size and walk on it before you choose. If you would rather decide at home, we post sample packs free of charge and bring the books to you on the measure.
Our own fitters handle every installation. They measure, prepare the subfloor, lay the floor and finish the edges, then take the old flooring away. The quote you sign is the price you pay.

From first look to final trim
Pick a few ranges online, or come to the showroom and see them at full size. Order free samples either way.
We come out, measure properly, check the subfloor and give you a written quote with no obligation attached.
Your floor is ordered from the mill and checked in at the showroom before the fitting date is confirmed.
Our fitters lay the floor, trim every edge, refit the doors if they need it and take the old flooring away.
What you get that you do not get everywhere
Not subcontractors. The people who measure your floor are the people who lay it, and they are accountable for the finish.
Four free samples posted the same working day, any range. Colour looks different in your own light, so see it there first.
Everything is written down before you commit. No day-of extras for doorbars, grippers or taking the old floor away.
Levelling, damp-proof membrane, ply or screed. We tell you if it is needed and what it costs, rather than laying over a bad floor.
Every range we sell carries its own manufacturer warranty, and we register the installation so that warranty actually stands.
If the range you like is wrong for the room, we will say so and show you what works instead. It saves a callback for both of us.
